Life's Too Precious To Waste

Past
Said you will, but don't say you have,
Reminiscing and regretting seemed similar;
Time healed my unclear state of mind,
As the clock tick tocked my slate became positive blank;
Present
Self righteousness is used as a shelter from wrong doings,
Goodness strives through the mind but some are left as exceptions;
Initiative is lacking of and the clock is ticking off,
Decisions bunched up and mind full of hesitations;
Future
An objective of succession seemed near,
Approach was made easier as the obstacle was no longer fear;
"Sky high and no looking down" is what pushes him over the line,
Staying simple in the mind confirms everything will be fine;
